UNICEF at Frisco High School

What is UNICEF?

The United Nations Children's Fund is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. UNICEF advocates for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs, and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.

What is UNICEF at Frisco High School?

In 2019, a chapter of UNICEF was established at Frisco High School. At FHS, we work to help UNICEF achieve its goal at a more local level, as well as spread awareness and advocate for specific world issues. We work with local businesses and organizations in aiding less fortunate families and children.

How will being in UNICEF benefit you?

Through UNICEF FHS, you are enabled to help children regardless of race, religion, or gender. You will have the power to change a child's world and give him or her a chance to change another child's life. Furthermore, our club provides you with countless learning and growth opportunities and the chance to earn service hours.

What are some things I can expect to do through the club?

Some things we have done through the club are writing letters and speak to orphans in Romania, host a school supplies and toys drive for kids in India, and donate food packs for underprivileged families in our local community. These are only a few of the things we have done, and we hope to host many more bigger and impactful events in the future as our club continues to grow.
